For those unlucky enough to have not played The Darkness 2. The Darkness II is an intense first person shooter that delivers a twisted and gripping narrative of tragedy, modern crime drama, and supernatural horror.
Is a wonderful FPS, RPG and Psychological Horror-Survival video game by Digital Extremes. You’ll have to control the character of Jackie Estacado, the leader of the Franchetti Criminal Family. Your task is to act as Jackie Estacado, use your Dark powers against the rival gang that recently attacked you, eliminate them and enjoy engaging yourself into amazingly haunting and psychological horror filled game-play. Exploration, artifacts and items collection, amazingly blasting enemy encounters and the deep prowess of dark powers makes this game more and more involving as you further flow with the story-line. With a great dark setting, unbelievably stressing situations, and your ability to cater with the problems, hardcore encounters with the bizarre creatures and enemies, loads of cool weapons to shoot down the enemies, super fine and dramatic event depictions, eye-catching visuals and a brilliant story, The Darkness 2 is one amazing game to play and enjoy.
The player is standing on a sidewalk with enemies shooting The Darkness II plays similarly to its predecessor, but with the introduction of new features such as 'quad wielding,' a technique which allows Jackie to use both the Darkness' 'Creeping Dark' tendrils and firearms simultaneously. The player has access to one Darkling, who is involved in the plot and useful in various situations. The player can use the 'Creeping Dark' tendrils to slash or pick up enemies for executions or to simply throw them, or various items within the environment (parking meters, car doors, etc.) and use them as projectile weapons or shields. Each kill, discovered relic, and execution earns the player Essence, which allows players to purchase new abilities from Talent Shrines. Devouring hearts restores Jackie's health and earns Essence. Like in the previous game, Jackie loses his powers in the light, though in this game light also causes Jackie's vision to brightly blur and is coupled with a high-pitched ringing. Vendettas Vendettas is a separate cooperative campaign that runs parallel to the main campaign and allows up to four players to play together online (though players can play through the campaign by themselves offline as well).
The story involves four hitmen working for Jackie as they attempt to stop the Brotherhood from obtaining the. Each of these four characters have different Darkness powers (all of them can be obtained by Jackie in the main campaign, although some have been slightly altered or upgraded) and are armed with a unique special weapon. Also included is 'Hit List', a feature that allows players to replay missions from the Vendettas campaign individually, or play through missions exclusive to the Hit List mode.
